Social Media

When first looking at the History of Social Media from 1978 – 2012 it made me realize how much the internet progressed from the time I was born (1992) until now. When I was younger I remember the only thing I did on the computer was play games that came on discs, not that I had downloaded from the internet. Throughout school until high school my main source of information was books. I used an actual dictionary to look up terms. Read the rest of this entry

I personally use Facebook everyday.

I mainly use Facebook to keep in contact with my friends that aren’t here in Albany with me. I can talk with them on chat, see their pictures and kinda just keep up with them without being there. Read the rest of this entry

so I began working on my blog to help make it look more “me”

I made some basic changes like different fonts and a different theme for the layout of the page.

I was trying to change the font colors but I haven’t figured that out yet.

Next, I moved onto the header.

When trying to choose an image for the header I became stuck. I wanted to use a picture of my own that would compliment the page well. Right now, the picture I chose is from a Kid Cudi concert that my friends and I went to over the summer in Brooklyn. This is the full picture.

A Little Taste of Megan

My name is Megan Kanan and I am originally from Middletown, New York. I have lived there my whole entire life. My immediate family consists of my mom,  Jackie, my dad, Tom, my older sister, Lauren, and my younger brother, Nick. My mom is my best friend and I can talk to her about anything and we watch all the same TV shows together. What can I say, I’m a moma’s girl. My older sister and I clash a lot. We do better when we are both away at school and not in the same house. I love her to death but we just get on eachothers nerves too easily. My little brother is one of my best friends even though he is only 12. Growing up I would always let him come hang with my friends and I for  a little. I spent a lot of time with him and taught him a lot while my parents were at work. He is now like me a lot of ways and I love seeing him grow up. Read the rest of this entry
